Professor Emeritus Lloyd Byars has co-authored a number of books, including Human Resource Management, Management: Theory and Application, Strategic Management: Planning and Implementation: Concepts and Cases, and Supervision: Key Link to Productivity, Personnel Management: Concepts and Applications, Readings in Personnel Management, The Management of Enterprise. His research has appeared in Planning Review, Journal of Accountancy, Managerial Planning, Supervisory Management among others. He has served on the editorial review board of Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Management Case Studies, and Journal of Systems Management.
Dr. Byars has served as a lecturer in management development programs for a wide variety of business, governmental, and not-for-profit organizations. He is also an arbitrator at labor-management disputes and is certified by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the American Arbitration Association, and the National Mediation Board. He has arbitrated cases in Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. He is a member at the National Academy of Arbitrators and serves on its International Arbitration committee.
