Overview
The Executive MBA in Management of Technology (EMBA-MOT) is an evolution of our highly successful Executive Master of Science in Management of Technology (MS-MOT). Designed to develop leaders with fluency in the languages of business and technology, the EMBA-MOT builds upon its strong MBA core with a focus on the management of technology. In addition to traditional business and financial skills, students learn to manage innovation and organizational change, identify promising emerging technologies, and translate them into new products and services. Participants not only gain a deep understanding of the full range of global business opportunities and threats that technology can present, but also develop the tangible skills necessary for strategic competitive advantage.

The entrepreneurial spirit instilled in students by the EMBA-MOT program is becoming increasingly important to companies. As newly industrialized countries like China and India rapidly change the world's economy, more business leaders recognize the need to sharpen their innovative edge and embrace new technologies. The EMBA-MOT program develops these abilities while also enhancing decision-making, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Put Your Skills to the Test and
Take Your Innovation to Market
A year-long new venture project serves as a powerful capstone experience that concludes with a business plan competition. In small teams, students select an emerging technology and complete a full business plan competition to take it to market. Project work is integrated into the curriculum, and many students turn their projects into real-world ventures.

Minimal Time Away from Work
The EMBA-MOT program operates in an executive format which allows professionals to gain an executive master's degree in 19 months with minimal time away from work. Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays, from 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM, every other week. The program also includes two weeklong residencies on campus at Georgia Tech, and culminates with an international residency in China.
