Overview
As the business world becomes increasingly global, understanding how international issues affect all organizations is essential. Through an intensive combination of classroom instruction, projects and international residencies, the Global Executive MBA program fine-tunes the skills and knowledge of business leaders who want to advance their careers in international business and better understand the opportunities and challenges of managing in a global business environment.
You will learn to lead organizations in a global context and guide innovation and change management processes amid the technological sophistication and complexity of today's international business environment. You'll benefit from professional, cultural, and educational diversity in the classroom as well as take part in interactive global simulations that greatly enhance your learning experience.
Beyond a Case Study: The Global Strategy Project
A Global Strategy Project serves as a capstone experience for Global Executive MBA students and provides an opportunity to work on real-world global strategy issues during the program. Each strategy team is paired with a select company--and an executive sponsor--at the beginning of the program. The executive sponsor provides the group with a strategic question, involving a current or future global business issue, from his or her company. Students complete a company analysis utilizing the different methodologies they learn in the 17-month program. During the capstone residency, each team presents an answer to the strategic question, along with the results of the company analysis, to the class and the executive sponsor.
Minimal Time Away From Work
The Global Executive MBA program is designed to allow professionals to gain an MBA in Global Business in 17 months without interrupting their careers. The program includes two weeklong residencies on campus at Georgia Tech and two international residencies. The remainder of the classes are held every other weekend on Friday evenings (5:30 PM - 9:30 PM) and Saturdays (8 AM - 5 PM).
