Overview
The Global Executive MBA program begins each year with an on-campus residency at Georgia Tech. Students then return to campus every other week for class on Friday evening (5:30 PM - 9:30 PM) and all day Saturday (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM). They attend overseas trips in the second and third semesters and complete a final week of classes at Georgia Tech before graduating in December.
The countries visited by Global Executive MBA students vary from year to year. This allows each class to travel to the most beneficial areas of international commerce at that time. This focus on global business and emerging economies gives students an advantage when competing in the global business arena. Past residency locations have included Argentina, China, France, and India, and future locations may include Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, and Eastern Europe.
Consisting of company visits, executive roundtables, and lectures, these trips allow students to examine the cultural, social, and economic aspects of each location. Students gain an understanding of both emerging and developed economies and how to effectively conduct business in these areas. Diverse residency locations also allow graduates to continue their global learning process with Georgia Tech through the "Passport to Future Residencies" program.
