How is the GEMBA program different from a Full-time or Evening MBA?
The Global Executive MBA provides students with a thorough exposure to all the traditional business disciplines with special emphasis on the managerial challenges associated with the global business environment. In addition, the program runs in a convenient Friday evening and Saturday format that allows you to complete your MBA in 17 months without interrupting your career.

Are there specific program concentrations?
Yes, the specific concentration is in global business. In addition to core MBA classes, GEMBA includes four unique modules focusing on global trade, managing global organizations, global markets, and global supply chain. This program, like many Executive MBA programs, has a predetermined curriculum and course schedule.

What is the executive format?
Students begin the 17-month program with a weeklong residency held at Georgia Tech and then attend classes on select weekends on Friday evening (5:30 PM - 9:30 PM) and Saturday (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) for the duration of the program. There is an additional on-campus residency in December and two international residencies held during the second, third, and fourth semesters. This format allows students to continue working, and put their new skills to use in the business world, while earning an advanced degree.

Is the program offered online?
No. We believe in a philosophy that is best conveyed by the expression "high tech, high touch." We make use of technology where appropriate, but we believe firmly that there is no substitute for the learning environment that is created by a top-notch professor and a class of professional peers, live and in person.

When does the program begin?
The next class begins in August 2009 and graduates in December 2010. If you are interested in applying for the GEMBA Class of 2010, please contact us at 404.385.7592 or via email at to learn more.

Will I have access to Georgia Tech resources?
Yes, you will have access to all student resources. Whether it is the library resources, the recreation center, or cheering for Division I-A sports teams, you are a full member of the Georgia Tech campus community.
