Undergraduate Management students recently recognized Deborah Turner as the 2006 Professor of the Year, an honor she also won in 2002, 2003, and 2005.

Turner, a professor of accounting, was honored at a pizza party April 13 in the Management building's courtyard. Instructors David Shallenberger and Robert Burgess received honorable mentions in the same award category. PhD students Carrie Crystal and Tracey King were also recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Undergraduate students receiving major honors include:

• Donald R. G. Prather, recipient of the Outstanding Student in Management Award ($500).

• Rena Deng, recipient of the Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship Award ($500) as well as the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accounts Inc. Scholarship Award ($500).

• Zhanxiang Liang and Robert L. Rodden, who each received the Outstanding Junior in Management Award ($300).

• Jason W. Nelson, recipient of the Financial Executives International Scholarship Award ($1,000).

Academic advisor Raziya Chapman, who has helped many undergraduates during her career at Georgia Tech, recently a T pin in honor of her 25 years of service to the Institute. Recognition was also given earlier this month to strategic-management professor John McIntyre.
