We want you to learn from your classmates' experiences and to be able to contribute your own knowledge and values to our academic environment. Knowing more about you will help us determine if Georgia Tech is the right school for you. The information you include in your application helps the MBA Admission Committee evaluate your potential for success in graduate studies and as a manager. Make sure that your application provides us with a strong picture of you and of your qualifications for admission to the MBA program.
We welcome applicants with accredited undergraduate degrees from all academic backgrounds. We carefully review all materials submitted. Factors considered in determining your eligibility for the MBA program include your undergraduate performance, both in grade point average and in trends over the years; the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and TOEFL results; letters of recommendation; responses to essay questions; and the quality and growth you obtained from your full-time work experience.
We believe that full-time work experience greatly enhances your application and the quality of learning you receive in the MBA program.
Your responses to the essay questions provide us with additional information about you, your motivation for attending graduate school, your background and interests, and your reasons for selecting Georgia Tech.
Program Notes
The MBA program at Georgia Tech is a two-year program requiring full-time study. Admission is in the fall semester only.
Before entering the MBA program, you must have taken a college-level calculus course and have received a satisfactory grade. The calculus requirement must be completed before enrollment, as you will be using these skills throughout the MBA program. We also strongly recommend that you have a familiarity with probability concepts prior to beginning the MBA program.
Courses cannot be taken on a part-time basis, and students desiring part-time study cannot be admitted. The Evening MBA program follows an evening format, allowing working professionals to complete their studies without interrupting their careers. The Executive Master in Management of Technology is for working professionals, and the Huang Executive Education Center offers a variety of certificate programs.
