First Year
The first year of the MBA program you will focus on core courses that stress teamwork and provide a strong basis for your subsequent electives. To ensure smaller classes, first-year courses generally are offered in two sections. You will also take one elective in your second semester. Taking an elective during the first year before your summer internship helps develop your skills and sharpen your long-term career focus. Course Waivers Some core courses may be waived based on past academic work, professional work experience, or a waiver exam. If you qualify to waive a course, you will replace that course with a graduate management elective.

Summer Internship
During the summer semester between your first and second years, we encourage you to participate in a summer internship. Summer internships provide an opportunity to apply the managerial theories you learned in your first year to a business environment and fine tune your particular career objectives.
Second Year
During the second year, you will build upon first year core courses and acquire specific areas of competency through the selection of elective courses. Electives emphasize collaboration and cross-disciplinary perspectives. The flexibility of the program allows you to choose electives in any combination of areas to meet your professional and personal goals.
