What is a graduate assistantship? How can I get one?

A graduate assistantship (GA) is a position held by a student that waives most tuition costs in exchange for 14 hours of work each week. GAs are assigned to work with a faculty member or administrator, responsibilities vary and may include research, tutoring students, or administrative tasks. Tuition and fees are approximately $700 per semester. In addition to a tuition waiver, graduate assistants receive a monthly stipend totaling $3,000 per semester.

The College awards GAs to more than 25 percent of each entering class based on academic merit, GMAT scores, and experience relevant to the needs of the College. The deadline to apply for a graduate assistantship is January 15.
