College of Management students are fortunate to have significant free
elective and management elective flexibility in their degree
requirements, enough to participate in one or two study abroad programs
and still stay on track for graduation.
Students interested in international business are encouraged to
participate in at least one study abroad program or complete the International Plan, which is a challenging academic program that develops global competency within the context of the Management major.
Study Abroad
The Georgia Tech Office of International Education offers summaries of each study abroad program. Management students have access to many study abroad programs that offer
courses that apply directly to Management degree requirements.
At the Office of International Education website you can:
Work Abroad
The Division of Professional Practice
offers opportunities for students to find paid international work
experience directly related to his or her major. They also offer
valuable information for housing, passports or visas, and all the
pertinent information students need before working abroad. |

| International Plan
Students interested in studying abroad, working abroad, or
completing the international management certificate should look into
the International Plan. The International Plan builds global
competence by requiring students to engage in a minimum of twenty-six
weeks of international experience (work, research, or study) related to
their discipline, to develop a proficiency in a second language, and to
take internationally-oriented coursework. This experience provides
students a deeper global competency than traditional international
opportunities
Dr. Chuck Parsons is the College of Management faculty representative for the International Plan. E-mail for questions regarding the International Plan, or if you are interested in signing up. | | | |
