College of Management Undergraduate Career Program The mission of the College of Management Undergraduate Career Program is to offer exemplary career resources for our students, enabling them to develop individual plans that will lead to challenging and rewarding opportunities while in college, upon graduation, and throughout their careers. Our goal is for all students to have a great job by graduation, based on the portfolio of excellent experiences they developed during college. - During the freshmen year, students develop a resume and cover letter, learn about numerous business career paths, buildprofessional communication skills, and are introduced to the Georgia Tech career development resources and many useful internship and job search strategies.
- During the program, students meet with the College of Management Career Counselor to discuss how their interests match up with a rewarding career.
- During one-on-one meetings, academic advisors inform students about the Career Services atGeorgia Tech, including the Career Buzz job and internship database, the Department of Professional Practice,and the Career Development staff at the College of Management.
- Our Career Development Staff is an experienced team that provides a link between recruiters and management students through job postings, career and internship fairs, company information sessions and in-depth career development seminars.
- A Career Development Class is offered to students during their Junior or Senior Year at the College of Management. The class focuses on the advanced job search strategies, interviewing skills, business etiquette, salary negotiation, and communication skills that recruiters expect.

Georgia Tech Management students perform extremely well in internshipsbefore graduation and full-time positions after graduation, based ontheir strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communicationskills. Recruiters also seek the solid leadership skills that GeorgiaTech develops in students. A Georgia Tech Management degree can open doors in countless career fields. In addition to corporate opportunities, Management majors also perform well in the government and non-profit sectors. Also, you do not have to practice your concentration in an organizationthat focuses on that field. For example, you could be an IT manager atan accounting firm, or you could work in operations at a financialservices organization.
You can also choose concentrations outside of those covered below,such as Strategic Management or Organizational Behavior. Thesespecializations are used in most management positions, includingconsulting and human resources.
